Méjico Restaurant Opens

We are very happy to announce that Méjico Restaurant & Bar on Pitt Street, Sydney (right next to Jamie's) has opened!

Our journey with this restaurant started with the client’s clear vision for the menu, that sort to differentiate from the recent influx of Mexican food into the Australian
market. We in turn needed to ensure that we delivered a brand and restaurant experience that matched this desire. In the naming of the restaurant we wanted to express authenticity and really own Mexican food and ‘Méjico,’ the local name for Mexico seemed to fit well.

Méjico Restaurant

In the development of this brand we wanted to avoid the obvious cliché’s and create a space that reflected the culture, without becoming a pastiche. We use very bold, hand painted graphics, on floors and walls, to set the energy levels high. The planning of the restaurant brings food to the street, with guacamole, limes, chilli’s and roasted
corn as the centrepiece. This wraps into a bar to cater for early diners and those who just want to come for the tequila! The restaurant then sweeps down, mixing communal settings with more traditional banquette seating, anchored with an open kitchen at the rear.

Méjico Restaurant

The space has been stripped back to its core where exposed brick, open ceilings and concrete floors form the base, and our hand woven pendants, graphics and timbers add warmth.

We hope the attention to detail in the menu is reflected in the dining experience, and look forward to this becoming one of Sydney’s favourite places to eat.

Woolworths

Without a doubt, this has been the busiest end of year ever for Juicy. Six weeks ago we got the chance to work with Australia’s largest grocery business, Woolworths. It is particularly exciting that a business the size of ours can have the opportunity to influence the next generation of supermarkets. We love working in the food
sector and taking on exciting challenges such as these. A lot to look forward to in 2013!

MCC Members Reserve Wine Label

Seven months ago we couldn’t have imagined working on a job like this – designing wine labels! With our studio now including a graphics department, and with our continuing great relationship with the MCG, we were offered a small but significant opportunity to design a wine label exclusively for the MCC Members.

Yogurt World - Now Open

Yogurt World's first Sydney store has been open now for 2 months and hasn't been busier, being the best way to cool down on these hot summer days. New flavours and toppings are constantly being introduced, 'like' Yogurt World's Facebook page to keep updated on the latest.

This project truly represents us at our best, working collaboratively with the client to bring a complete brand experience that is fun and unique.

Yogurt World

The final touches are being done to the new Yogurt World flagship store in Pitt Street’s Westfield Sydney. Come and check it out!

Yogurt World (as the name suggests) offers everything a frozen yogurt lover could ever dream of with a selection of 32 frozen yogurt flavours, 16 available at any

one time, and over 101 toppings! The unique aspect to Yogurt World is that it is entirely self-service. Imagine being let lose in a Mr. Whippy Van!

Feature Projects – Paddock (above) & The Terrace Cafe

Juicy was fortunate to be approached to work on a project based at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Our introduction came through Melbourne based food strategy company ‘Future Food’ who we worked closely with to develop two new café concepts – ‘Paddock’ and 'The Terrace Cafe'.

Mexican

Under close wraps, Juicy is working on an exciting new Mexican concept for the more discerning diner in the city. Mexican has become a bit of a favourite in many Sydney suburbs, but we think we are working on something with a twist that will appeal to Sydneysiders. Look out later this year for more development.
